Using Your Location

Ancient Earth can use the built-in Location Services in your iOS device. If your location is obtainable by your device, Ancient Earth can show you where your current location would have been in the geologic past!

Getting your location:

  1. Tap the Pin icon in the menu
  2. If you allow Ancient Earth to use location services and your location is obtained, a pin will display on the globe showing your location

Stop showing your location:

  1. If your position is shown, tap the Pin icon in the menu

Once Ancient Earth gets a valid location it will stop monitoring your position to save battery power. If you have moved a significant distance while this feature is turned on, you’ll need to turn it off and on again.
